PPS Displaying Code Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Saturn Sky and 2010 Pontiac Solstice. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: When the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) starts to communicate with the PPS module, the instrument panel cluster (IPC) will illuminate the dash lights ON and OFF. This is normal operation during this procedure and does not indicate additional system faults.
  1. Empty the front passenger seat.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF, and wait for the PPS to complete its bulb check function.
  4. After the bulb check is complete retrieve PPS module DTCS using the Passenger Presence System screen on the scan tool. The scan tool will instruct you on how to retrieve the PPS module DTCs.
