Shift Lock Control Switch (ATM): Inspection

1. Disconnect the connector of the shift lock control switch.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SWITCH (ATM) RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS (DISCONNECTED) .
   SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SWITCH (ATM) RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS (DISCONNECTED)
   
   

   Terminal	Measuring Condition	Specified Value
   A5 (IG) - B2 (SLS+)	Switch ON	Below 1 Ω
   A5 (IG) - B2 (SLS+)	Switch OFF	10 kΩ or higher

   If the result is not as specified, replace the shift lock control switch.

3. Connect terminal STP to the battery positive (+) terminal and terminal E to the battery negative (-) terminal, and apply about 12 V between terminals STP and E.

4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SWITCH (ATM) RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION (CONNECTED) .

If the result is not as specified, replace the shift lock control switch.
