- Choose the diagnosis method.
- READ VALUE ON INTELLIGENT TESTER
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- According to the display on the tester, read the "DATA LIST".

- INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the cruise control main switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance

NG: REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK: go to next step
- INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH LH
- Disconnect the e1 connector from the spiral cable.
- Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.
Standard ResistanceTester Connection Condition Specified condition A-1 - e1-4 Always Below 2.5 A-3 - e1-5 Always Below 2.5 NG: REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH
- INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the S7 spiral cable connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition A-4 - S7-4 Always Below 1 Ω A-5 - S7-5 Always Below 1 Ω
NG: REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SPIRAL CABLE - ECM AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the E5 connector from the ECM.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
