Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Install a new gasket onto the sensor.
    2. Using SST, install the sensor.

      SST 09817-33190 

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the sensor connector.

  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the air cleaner case sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 7.0 N*m (71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf) 

    2. Install the wire harness to the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
    3. Install the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly.

    4. Install and lock the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and air cleaner hose and then tighten the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp.

    5. Connect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.
    6. Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the air cleaner hose.

    7. Install the vacuum switching valve assembly.

    8. Install the wire harness.
    9. Connect the mass air flow meter connector.

  3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  (See REPLACEMENT )
  4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
