U760E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: TCM: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
If automatic transaxle parts are replaced, refer to Parts Replacement Compensation Table to determine if any additional operations are necessary Service Precautions.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR

6. REMOVE BATTERY

7. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

8. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE TCM

(a) Detach the claw, turn the lock lever and disconnect the connector from the TCM.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and TCM from the automatic transaxle.
