Front Passenger Side Power Window Does Not Operate With Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)

- Disconnect the D1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition D1-3 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Power Window Regulator Switch)
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

- Remove the power window regulator switch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 4 (U) - 3 (B) UP Below 1 Ω 1 (D) - 2 (SD) 4 (U) - 5 (SU) OFF 1 (D) - 2 (SD) 4 (U) - 5 (SU) DOWN 1 (D) - 3 (B)
NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH)
- Disconnect the D1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
- Disconnect the D2 power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D1-1 (D) - D2-1 Always Below 1 Ω D1-4 (U) - D2-2 Always Below 1 Ω D1-1 (D) or D2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher D1-4 (U) or D2-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH

- Remove the power window regulator motor assembly RH. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
- Check that the window regulator motor moves smoothly as follows.
OK
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 1
Battery negative (-) → 2Motor gear rotates clockwise Battery positive (+) → 2
Battery negative (-) → 1Motor gear rotates counterclockwise TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Motor Gear Clockwise Counterclockwise

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the E1 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
- Disconnect the D1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E1-16 (U) - D1-5 (SU) Always Below 1 Ω E1-18 (D) - D1-2 (SD) Always Below 1 Ω E1-16 (U) or D1-5 (SU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E1-18 (D) or D1-2 (SD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
