Shift Lever Assembly: Installation: Installation

INSTALL SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY
1. Install the shift lever assembly with the 4 bolts.

  Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the control cable to the shift lever retainer.
  NOTE:
  - The projecting part of the cable outer should face outside when the shift cable is connected.
  - After installation, make sure that the cable outer lock is projecting from A as shown in the illustration.

2. Install the control select cable to the shift lever assembly.

3. Install the control shift cable to the shift lever assembly.
ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE See step 1
INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 23
INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 25
INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 24
INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER LOWER PANEL . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 26
