Driver Side Power Window does not Operate with Power Window Master Switch: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Active Test.
5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
   MASTER SWITCH

   OK

   Driver door power window operates normally.

   WARNING:

   Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function will not operate.

A: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the E8 power window regulator master assembly connector.
2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E8-12 (+B) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V

   Standard Resistance

   E8-5 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the E8 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the E5 power window regulator motor assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E8-6 (WU) - E5-1 (WU)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E8-7 (WD) - E5-3 (WD)	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Standard Resistance (Check for Short)

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E8-6 (WU) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E8-7 (WD) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Temporarily replace the power window regulator master switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL [03/2012 - ] .
2. Check the power window regulator master switch assembly operates. Refer to OPERATION CHECK [03/2012 - ] .

   OK

   Driver door power window operates normally.
