Brake Actuator: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET 
    NOTE: When installing a new brake actuator, do not remove the hole plug before connecting the brake tube. New actuators are filled with brake fluid.
    1. Install the actuator with bracket with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Tighten the 3 nuts uniformly in alphabetical order.
      • Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.
      • Do not drop the actuator. If dropped, replace it.
    2. Attach the 2 new clamps to the bracket.
  2. CONNECT BRAKE LINES 
    1. Set each brake line in the correct position on the brake actuator as shown.

      HINT: 

      • *1: to front wheel RH
      • *2: to front wheel LH
      • *3: to rear wheel RH
      • *4: to rear wheel LH
      • *5: from master cylinder
    2. Using a union nut wrench, tighten each brake line.

      Torque: 15 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE: Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench. Refer to PRECAUTION .
  3. CONNECT CONNECTOR 
    1. Connect the connector and push the lock lever downward.

  4. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM 

    Refer to BLEEDING

  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE 

    Refer to INSTALLATION

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
  7. CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH TECHSTREAM
