Driver Side Power Window does not Operate with Power Window Master Switch [01/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2013 - ] .
    2. Check for DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [05/2013 - ] .

      OK

      DTC B2312 is not output.

    NG → See step   9 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (D DOOR P/W UP SW, D DOOR DOWN SW) 
    1. Use the Data List to check if the power window regulator master switch assembly is functioning properly. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [05/2013 - ] .
      D-DOOR MOTOR

      D Door P/W Up SW Driver side power window manual up signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side power window manual up switch operated
      OFF: Driver side power window switch not operated

      D Door P/W Down SW Driver side power window manual down signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side power window manual down switch operated
      OFF: Driver side power window switch not operated
      -

      OK

      On Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) 
    1. Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that power window regulator motor assembly LH operates. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [05/2013 - ] .
      D-DOOR MOTOR

      Power Window Driver side power window OFF/UP/DOWN -

      HINT: 

      Up and down movement does not occur if the arrow is not pressed and held.

      OK

      Power window regulator motor assembly LH operates normally.

    NG → See step   10 

    OK → See step   12 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E1-15 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E1-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E2-2 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E2-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      (to Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly LH)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the E1 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the E2 power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E1-18 (UP) - E2-10 (UP) Always Below 1 Ω
      E1-10 (DOWN) - E2-7 (DOWN) Always Below 1 Ω
      E1-18 (UP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E1-10 (DOWN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  7. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the power window regulator motor assembly LH. Refer to REMOVAL [01/2014 - ] .
    2. Check that the window regulator motor moves smoothly as follows. Refer to INSPECTION [05/2013 - ] .

    NG → See step   11 

    OK → See step   8 

  8. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2014 - ] 
  9. GO TO DTC B2312. Refer to  DTC B2312: Power Window Switch Malfunction  
  10. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2014 - ] 
  11. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2014 - ] 
  12. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [01/2014 - ]
