Throttle Position Sensor

This sensor is essentially a mechanical variable resistor (potentiometer) connected to throttle shaft. Throttle position sensor varies voltage signal to ECU as throttle angle changes.

Other input signals may include signals from A/C clutch, brake switch, clutch switch, cranking signal (starter switch), power steering pressure switch and/or gear position switch(es).
