System Will Not Function
- Check fuses. With main switch in "ON" position, check battery voltage at control unit. Check brake switch. Check ground connection at control unit.
- On manual transaxle vehicles check clutch switch operation. On automatic transaxle vehicles ensure clutch switch wire is grounded. Ensure that signal from set switch, on steering wheel, is transmitted to control unit.
- Ensure speed pulse from speedometer is transmitted to control unit. See TESTING section of this article. Check speedometer operation. Check wiring connections. Replace speed sensor, in speedometer, if signal is not present at control unit.
- Check valve assembly for signal from control unit. If no signal is present test control unit by substitution. If signal is present at valve assembly, check vacuum pump and actuator.
