Throttle Sensor System
A throttle position sensor is provided with a potentiometer (variable resistor). Idle switch is interlocked with the throttle valve. Throttle position sensor sends SPFI control unit a potentiometer output signal corresponding to opening of throttle valve. Idle switch turns on, only when throttle is opened nearly to idle position. Using these signals, SPFI control unit precisely controls air-fuel ratio during acceleration and deceleration as well as idling.
