SERVICE INFORMATION
When starting a cold fuel injected engine it is normally not necessary to depress the accelerator pedal.
However, if difficulty in starting is encountered during extreme cold temperatures (approximately 5°F and colder at Sea Level), it may be necessary to depress the accelerator pedal partially to ease starting.
In higher altitude areas, the accelerator pedal may need to be depressed at temperatures higher than 5°F.
As soon as the engine is started, release the accelerator pedal. The fuel injection system will automatically adjust engine speed and fuel mixture for atmospheric conditions and altitude.
We recommend that the starting procedure be tailored to the relative ambient temperatures and altitudes, based on the owner's experiences.
