Main Switch

  1. Check voltage between fuse No. 4 and ground with ignition ON. Voltage should read 10-13 volts.
  2. Remove cruise control main switch and disconnect connector. With ignition ON, measured voltage between connector terminal No. 3 and ground should be 10-13 volts. See Fig 1 .

  3. To check ON/OFF function of main switch, measure resistance between terminals No. 3 and 5. Resistance should be no more than 10 ohms with switch ON and no less than 1 megohm with switch OFF. See Fig 2 .

  4. To check harness between main switch and control module, connect the connector. Turn ignition and main switches ON. Measure voltage between specified terminals and ground. Terminals No. 3 and 5 of connector i10 and terminal No. 4 of connector B54. Voltages should be 10-13 volts. See Fig 3 .
