Automatic Transmission
- If voltage does not exist in any of the following circuit tests, check wiring for opens or shorts, or replace faulty component.
- Turn ignition switch to START position. Check voltage at ignition switch "S" terminal (Black/Yellow wire). If battery voltage exists, check voltage at Black/Yellow wire terminal of transmission inhibitor switch. Inhibitor switch is located on gear select lever, under console.
- If battery voltage exists at Black/Yellow wire terminal of transmission inhibitor switch, check for voltage at inhibitor switch Black/White wire terminal when gear select lever is in Park or Neutral position.
- If voltage exists at inhibitor switch Black/White wire terminal, check voltage at Black/White wires of ECVT unit harness connector. ECVT unit is located behind left side of instrument panel, above EFC/PFI control unit.
- If battery voltage exists at both Black/White wires, check voltage at starter "S" terminal (Black/White wire). If voltage exists at starter solenoid, start circuit is good. Problem is with starter.

Information for testing inhibitor switch or ECVT unit is not available from manufacturer.
