Alternator & Regulator: Description

Hitachi alternators are conventional rotating field, 3-phase, self-rectifying type alternators. Four positive and 4 negative diodes are used to rectify current. All models are equipped with Integrated Circuit (IC) voltage regulators. When charge indicator light voltage and alternator output voltage are about equal, charge indicator light goes out.
