Function Test
- Turn engine off. Disconnect vacuum pump harness connector. Apply battery (+) power to terminal No. 2, and ground terminals No. 1, 3 and 4. SeeFig 1
. If throttle does not fully open within 3 seconds, replace vacuum pump and valve assembly.
- If throttle fully opens within 3 seconds, remove ground from terminal No. 3. Throttle should remain in position. If throttle does not remain in position, replace vacuum pump and valve assembly.
- If throttle remains in position, remove battery (+) power from terminal No. 2. If throttle does not fully close within 3 seconds, check actuator. See ACTUATOR TEST
under COMPONENT TESTS. If actuator is okay, replace vacuum pump and valve assembly.
