Cruise Control Command Switch
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect cruise control command switch harness connector located on steering column. Turn ignition off. Turn on SET/COAST switch. Check resistance between switch harness connector terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1
. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not less than 10 ohms, replace cruise control command switch.
- Turn off RESUME/ACCEL switch. Check resistance between switch harness connector terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1
. If resistance is one megohm or greater, go to next step. If resistance is less than one megohm, replace cruise control command switch.
- Turn on RESUME/ACCEL switch. Check resistance between switch harness connector terminals No. 1 and 3. See Fig 1
. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not less than 10 ohms, replace cruise control command switch.
- Turn off RESUME/ACCEL switch. Check resistance between switch harness connector terminals No. 1 and 3. If resistance is one megohm or greater, go to next step. If resistance is less than one megohm, replace cruise control command switch.
- Disconnect cruise control module harness connector. Check resistance between cruise control command switch harness connector terminal No. 2 and cruise control module No. 6. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not less 10 ohms, repair or replace wiring harness.
