Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

On-board diagnostic function of cruise control system requires the use of Subaru Select Monitor (24082AA130). On-board diagnostic function operates in cruise cancel condition diagnosis or real-time diagnosis.

Cruise cancel condition diagnosis requires a test drive to determine cause of malfunction. Cruise control module memory stores the condition which occurred during test drive. When more than one cancel condition occurs during test drive, they are shown in numerical order on select monitor (scan tool).

Real-time diagnosis is used to determine whether or not input signals are in good order. Vehicle cannot be driven during this test. Dummy signals are entered to various components of cruise control system and scan tool.
