To remove a stuck rear cover after removing case bolts, use soldering iron or heat gun to warm rear cover bearing housing to about 122-140°F (50-60°C). This will expand housing enough to slide cover off rotor bearing. Ensure spring washer located in rear cover bearing bore is not lost during disassembly.
Before assembling, press the brush down into the brush holder. Fix it in that position by passing a wire (A) .08" (1 mm) diameter length 1.6-2" (4-5 cm) wire through the hole. See Fig 2 .
