To Enter The Programming Mode

NOTE: The horn chirps once to indicate that the system has entered the programming mode. Do not start the engine at this time.

You must finish the next step (opening the driver's door) within 45 seconds of starting the PROGRAMMING procedure.

  1. Disarm the security system (if equipped).
  2. Open driver's door. Sit in driver's seat.
  3. Close driver's door and all other doors, rear gate, and trunk lid.
  4. Place the ignition key into ignition switch and cycle the switch from LOCK to ON ten times within 15 seconds. Be sure to stop at the LOCK position. See Fig 1 . The horn will sound once to indicate that you are in transmitter programming mode.
