Arming System With Remote Transmitter

- Close all windows and moonroof (if so equipped). Remove key from ignition switch, then open door(s) and get out of vehicle.
- Make sure engine hood and trunk lid (if equipped) are locked. Close all doors (and rear gate on station wagons).
- Briefly press LOCK/Arm button (for less than 2 seconds). All doors (and rear gate on station wagon) will lock. Horn will sound once, parking lights will flash once, and indicator light will flash slowly (approximately once every 2 seconds). See Fig 1 .
If any door, rear gate, or trunk lid is not fully closed, the horn sounds 3 times, the parking lights flash 3 times, and the indicator light flashes rapidly. When that entry in question is finally closed properly, the system will automatically arm and all doors will automatically lock.
