Arming System: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Subaru Outback and 2002 Subaru Legacy. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
The system can be armed even if windows are open.
Remove key from ignition switch. Close trunk lid and all windows, and close and lock all doors and rear gate. Push transmitter's LOCK button. The horn will chirp once and the parking lights will flash once. Confirm that security indicator light blinks slowly (once every 2 seconds). If any door, rear gate, or trunk lid is not properly closed, the system warns driver by sounding horn 3 times, flashing parking lights 3 times, and flashing security indicator rapidly. When door, rear gate or trunk lid is closed, it will automatically lock and security system will immediately activate. When system is armed, the indicator light will continue to blink every 2 seconds until the system is disarmed.
