Front Differential Assembly: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install differential side retainers using ST.

    ST 499787000:  WRENCH ASSEMBLY

  2. Install differential assembly.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to fold the sealing lip of oil seal.
    NOTE: Wrap the left and right splines sections of axle shaft with vinyl tape to prevent scratches.

  3. Install main shaft assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION under MAIN SHAFT ASSEMBLY FOR SINGLE-RANGE  .
  4. Install drive pinion assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION under DRIVE PINION SHAFT ASSEMBLY  .
  5. Install transmission case. Refer to INSTALLATION under TRANSMISSION CASE  .
  6. Install transfer case with extension case assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION under TRANSFER CASE AND EXTENSION CASE ASSEMBLY  .
  7. Install the manual transmission assembly to vehicle. Refer to INSTALLATION under MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY  .
