Front Vehicle Speed Sensor: Removal
- Set up the vehicle on the lift.
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove air cleaner case. refer to REMOVAL under AIR CLEANER CASE .
- Disconnect transmission connector.
- Remove the transmission connector from stay.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Clean transmission exterior.
- Drain ATF completely.NOTE: Tighten ATF drain plug after draining ATF.
Tightening torque: 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.1 ft-lb)
- Remove front, center, rear exhaust pipe and muffler. Refer to REMOVAL under FRONT EXHAUST PIPE , REAR EXHAUST PIPE and MUFFLER .
- Remove the shield cover.
- Remove the propeller shaft.
- Place transmission jack under crossmember.CAUTION:
- Make sure that the support plates of transmission jack don't touch the crossmember.
- Remove the transmission rear crossmember bolts.
- Lower the AT jack.NOTE: Do not separate the AT jack and transmission.
- Remove the oil cooler outlet pipe.CAUTION: When removing outlet pipe, be careful not to lose balls and springs used with retaining screws.
- Remove front and rear vehicle speed sensor and torque converter turbine speed sensor.

- Rear vehicle speed sensor
- Remove oil pan.
- Disconnect duty solenoids and ATF temperature sensor connectors. Remove connectors from clip and disconnect connectors.
- Remove harness assembly.
