Control Valve Body: Installation

Check that the dust and other foreign matters are not on control valve body.
Temporarily install the control valve body to transmission.
Install the oil cooler pipe.
Tightening torque:

8 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.8 ft-lb)

Tighten the bolts equally.
Tightening torque:

8 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.8 ft-lb)

Connect the harness connector.

Attach the magnet at the specified position of oil pan.

Apply liquid gasket to the oil pan.
Liquid gasket:

THREE BOND 1217B (Part No. K0877YA020)

Fill liquid gasket to the holes except for bolt holes (three) of transmission case.
Liquid gasket:

Install the oil pan with equally tighten the bolts.
Tightening torque:

5 N.m (0.5 kgf-m, 3.6 ft-lb)
Fill ATF from oil charge pipe.
Recommended fluid:

Dexron HI type automatic transmission fluid

Capacity:

Fill the same amount of ATF drained.
Bleed the air of control valve. < Ref. to AIR BLEEDING OF CONTROL VALVE . >
Check the ATF level. < Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID . >
Execute the learning control promotion. < Ref. to FACILITATION OF LEARNING CONTROL , Operation, Subaru Select Monitor. >
