With SUBARU Select Monitor
- Park the vehicle straight on a level surface. (Place the gear in "P" or "N" range and run the engine.)
- Check that steering wheel is positioned at the center. (When the center position is not correct, adjust the wheel alignment.)
- Set the Subaru Select Monitor to the vehicle, and select "Set mode Str. A. Sen. N & Lat. Gsen. 0p" in the "Function Check Sequence" display. (Follow the instructions on the screen.)
- When the above work is completed, select "Current Data Display & Save" on the "Brake Control" display screen, and check that the steering angle sensor displays "0 deg."
- If "0 deg" is not displayed on the screen, repeat the above steps and check whether "0 deg" is displayed.
- Drive for approximately 10 minutes, then check that the ABS warning light and VDC warning light do not light.
- Also, when driving, repeat steps 1 to 6 if there is any unnecessary operation of the VDC (VDC indicator light or buzzer) or if steering is unnecessarily pulled by the system.
