With 686 N (70 kgf, 154 lbf) loaded in direction shown, measure length l2





Determine free play using formula S = l2-l1
Specification for replacement S Less than 0.3 mm (0.012 in)
If play is within specification, visually check dust cover
If dust cover is damaged, replace ball joint
