Check Resistance

  1. If the stop light switch does not operate properly, replace with a new part.
  2. Measure the resistance of the stop light switch.

Released 1 and 4 Less than 1 Ω
2 and 3 1 MΩ or more
Depressed 1 and 4 1 MΩ or more
2 and 3 Less than 1 Ω
