Starting System & Charging System (H4DO): Generator: Installation

Temporarily install the generator bracket to the generator.

Temporarily install the generator to the engine.

Tighten the generator and generator bracket in the numerical order.
Tightening torque:

T1: 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

T2: 36 N.m (3.7 kgf-m, 26.6 ft-lb)

Install the V-belt cover bracket and tighten the bolts in the numerical order.
Tightening torque:

T1: 8.5 N.m (0.9 kgf-m, 6.3 ft-lb)

T2: 36 N.m (3.7 kgf-m, 26.6 ft-lb)

Install the idler pulley to the chain cover.
Tightening torque:

36 N.m (3.7 kgf-m, 26.6 ft-lb)

Connect the connector (A) and terminal (B) to the generator.
Tightening torque:

16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)

Install the V-belts. < Refer to INSTALLATION , V-belt. >
Connect the battery ground terminal.

Install the V-belt cover.
Tightening torque:

13 N.m (1.3 kgf-m, 9.6 ft-lb)
