Circuit description

This DTC is output when a circuit problem is detected in the engine start permission signal output circuit of the collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly), or when a malfunction is detected in the exterior engine start permission signal.

NOTE: If you remove and then reconnect the battery cable, the power returns to the mode it was before you removed the cable.

  • A circuit problem is detected (1-trip detection logic (1)) in the engine start permission output circuit of the collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly).
  • Problem in the external engine start permission signal (1 trip detection)
  • Collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly)
  • EFI system
  • Wiring harness or connector
 Start the engine.
(1) The code is output only when the problem is found and the engine switch is on (IG).
FAILSAFE FUNCTION PROBLEM DETECTED
