Circuit description
If the code check operation cannot be performed inside the vehicle, communication between the vehicle (indoor electrical key antenna assembly (front floor or rear floor)) and the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly might be faulty, or the collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly) might be faulty. When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is located inside the vehicle, the key ID code transmitted from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is matched against the one stored in the collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly). If this operation cannot be performed or if the code does not match, the engine switch does not turn ON (IG) and the engine cannot be started.
If the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is located inside the vehicle with doors unlocked, the collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly) sends out radio waves to detect the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly, and the indoor electrical key antenna assembly becomes enabled. If the presence of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly inside the detection area is confirmed, the collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly) responds to the key ID code. This information is received by the door control receiver, which is then sent to the collation ECM (smart key ECM assembly).
