Light Control Sensor: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. < Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents. >
  2. Remove the trim panel - front pillar UPR. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Upper Inner Trim. >
  3. Release the clips and claws, then detach the grille speaker side. < Ref. to TWEETER , REMOVAL, Front Speaker. >
  4. Remove the sensor - automatic light.
    1. Release the claws of the duct - front defroster.
      CAUTION:
      • Secure minimum space for performing the operation. Do not remove the duct - front defroster. If the duct - front defroster is removed, it cannot be reinstalled unless the instrument panel is removed.
      • Be careful not to damage the sensor and interior trim.

    2. Release the claws, and then pull out the sensor - automatic light from the duct - front defroster.
    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the sensor - automatic light.
