Rear Lock Button: Removal

NOTE:
  • The rear lock button is integrated with the switch - opener rear gate.
  • Open the panel - rear gate before disconnecting the ground terminal from battery sensor.
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. < Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents. >
  2. Remove the trim panel - rear gate. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Gate Trim. >
  3. Remove the garnish assembly - rear gate. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Gate Garnish. >
  4. Remove the rear lock button.
  1. Remove the garnish switch bracket from the garnish assembly - rear gate.
  2. Release the locks at both ends of the button - opener rear gate by pushing them with a flat tip screwdriver, and remove the button - opener rear gate.
  3. Remove the screws and detach the rear lock button.
