Knock Sensor: Installation

  1. Install the knock sensor to the cylinder block, and connect the connector to the knock sensor.
    NOTE:
    • Install the knock sensor connector so that the center of the connector is aligned with the extension line from the cylinder block rib (a).
    • Make sure that the knock sensor and its connector do not touch the adjacent parts.

    Tightening torque: 

    25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

  2. Install the bolt securing the connector to the A/C compressor.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb) 

  3. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. <Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents.>
