Steering Lock Control Module: Removal

- Disconnect the ground cable from battery. < Ref. to
BATTERY
, NOTE, Note.>NOTE: For the 12 volt engine restart battery of HEV model, disconnect the ground terminal from 12V engine restart battery sensor.
- Remove the column assembly - steering. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Steering Column.>
- Remove the steering lock control module.
- Secure the column assembly - steering in a vise.
- Use the reverse tap or drill to remove the set bolt and remove the steering lock control module.CAUTION: Do not apply any impact to the set bolt by a chisel or punch.
