Airbag Control Module: Installation

CAUTION:
- Refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" before handling the airbag system components. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION
- Do not disassemble the airbag control module.
- If the airbag control module is deformed or if there is any trace of water on the module, replace the airbag control module with a new one.
- Do not drop the airbag control module.
- After removal, keep the airbag control module on a dry, clean surface away from moisture, heat and dust.
- Before installation, inspect the following items and replace any faulty part with a new part.
- Control module is deformed.
- Control module connector is damaged.
- Using new flange bolt and nuts, install the airbag control module.
Tightening torque:
25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)
- Connect the airbag connector. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONNECTOR>PROCEDURE>AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE
- Install the cover center side. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>INSTALLATION
- Install the console box assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>INSTALLATION
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
- When the airbag control module is replaced, perform [Rezeroing] in the occupant detection system. Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>REZERO
