Inspection steps
- Check brake switch.
- Check the brake switch.
Criteria: The switch and its installation position is correct.
NG: Replace the switch main body or adjust its installation position.
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check the brake switch.
- Check brake switch circuit.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage between connector terminal and chassis ground.

OK: Go to Next Step
- Check brake switch circuit.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the resistance between ECM connector and brake switch.
