Inspection steps
- Check neutral start switch circuit.
- Disconnect the connector for neutral start switch ASSY.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage between the terminals.
VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONInspection terminals Inspection conditions Standard value L2-5 - chassis ground Always 10V or more NG: Repair or replace the harness.
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check neutral start switch circuit.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Measure the resistance between the terminals.
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONInspection terminals Inspection conditions Standard value L2-5 - chassis ground Always Less than 10 Ω NG: Repair or replace the harness.
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check neutral start switch.
- Perform a unit inspection of neutral start switch.
Criteria: No fault is found.
NO: Replace neutral start switch.
YES: Replace the ECM.
- Perform a unit inspection of neutral start switch.
