Diagnostic procedure
- Check that the battery voltage is 12 V or more and fuel remains approx. half [20 - 40 L (5.3 - 10.6 US gal, 4.4 - 8.8 Imp gal)].
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, clear the memory of [Engine Control System].
- Execute the inspection mode. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) >Inspection Mode .NOTE: Perform the inspection mode after warming up the engine except when the engine coolant temperature at engine start is specified.
- Drive according to the drive pattern described below.
- Read the readiness code of [Engine Control System] using Subaru Select Monitor and check that the concerned DTC is completed. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) >All Readiness Diagnostic Code(s) .
- Read the DTC of [Engine Control System] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) >Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
- Read the temporary code using the Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.
NOTE:
After driving, use the Subaru Select Monitor to check that "Imbalance Check 3 R" indicates "1" and read the temporary code. If "Imbalance Check 3 R" indicates "0", the diagnosis has not been completed. In this case, repeat driving until the reading is "1".
