Control Valve Body: Installation

Clean the mating surface of valve cover and transmission side.
CAUTION: When cleaning the mating surface of the transmission side, be careful not to allow any dust, foreign matter and used liquid gasket to enter the transmission.
Check the control valve body for dust and other foreign matter.
Install the O-rings.
NOTE:
- Use new O-rings.
- Apply CVTF to the O-rings.

Install the control valve body.

Install the control valve body to the transmission.
CAUTION:
- Do not damage the O-ring.
- Perform installation so that the O-ring is not displaced.

Temporarily tighten the bolt (A: silver).

Attach the bolt (B).

Tightening torque:

9 N.m (0.9kgf-m, 6.6ft-lb)

Tighten the bolt (A: silver).

Install the O-ring to the transmission harness.
NOTE:
- Use new O-rings.
- Apply CVTF to the O-rings.

Install the transmission harness to the valve cover.
Tightening torque:

7 N.m (0.7kgf-m, 5.2ft-lb)

Install the gasket to the transmission.
NOTE: Use a new gasket.
Apply liquid gasket to the oval hole of gasket.
Liquid gasket:

THREE BOND 1215B or equivalent

Install the valve cover.
CAUTION: Be careful not to catch the sheet of the ST.

Tightening torque:

8 N.m (0.8kgf-m, 5.9ft-lb)

Remove the ST (SHEET SPECIAL TOOL).
Install the throttle body. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>Throttle Body>INSTALLATION .
Install the transmission harness clip and transmission ground terminal.
Tightening torque:

14 N.m (1.4kgf-m, 10.3ft-lb)

Install the TCM. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>Transmission Control Module (TCM)>INSTALLATION .
Insert the transmission case cover (small) between transmission case cover (large) and transmission to install.
Tightening torque:

Cover (small): 7 N.m (0.7kgf-m, 3.7ft-lb)

Cover (large): 8 N.m (0.8kgf-m, 5.9ft-lb)

Install the pitching stopper bracket.
Tightening torque:

41 N.m (4.2kgf-m, 30.2ft-lb)

Install the air breather hose and air breather hose bracket.

Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO)>Air Intake Boot>INSTALLATION .
Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>SAFETY .
Adjust the CVTF level. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>CVTF>ADJUSTMENT .
Perform the operation of AT learning mode. Ref. to TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS)>LEARNING CONTROL .
