Outer Mirror Assembly: Disassembly
CAUTION:
When removing the mirror - repair, be careful not to damage the back surface of mirror - repair with a flat tip screwdriver.
- Operate the remote control mirror switch to face the mirror - repair inside.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY>GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
- Remove the mirror - repair.
- Insert a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool into the tool insertion opening shown in the figure, release the engagement and take the mirror - repair outward to remove.
- Disconnect the connector. (Model with mirror heater)
- Insert a flat tip screwdriver or similar tool into the tool insertion opening shown in the figure, release the engagement and take the mirror - repair outward to remove.
- Release the claws, and then remove the cover - cap outer mirror lower.
- Release the claws, and then remove the cover - cap outer mirror.CAUTION: Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing the cover - cap outer mirror, as the lower hooks may become damaged.
- Remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator. (Model with Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system)
- Disconnect the connector.
- Release the claws and then remove the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert system indicator.
- Remove the light assembly - side turn mirror. (Model with side turn signal light)
- Remove the screws and pull out the light assembly - side turn mirror to the front of the vehicle.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the light assembly - side turn mirror.
