Power Rear Gate Control Module: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the trim panel - rear apron LH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR QUARTER TRIM>REMOVAL
  3. Remove the power rear gate control module (PRG control module).
    1. Disconnect the connectors in the following order.
      1. Disconnect the connector (b).
      2. Pull the slide lock in the arrowed direction, and disconnect the connector (a) by pressing in the lock.
      3. Disconnect the connector (c).
        NOTE: When the connectors are not disconnected in the sequence, a diagnosis code (DTC) may be detected.

    2. Release the lock and hook, and remove the power rear gate control module (PRG control module).
