Work Support: Operation
If the Driver Monitoring Unit is replaced, it is possible to read the setting information set by the user using Subaru Select Monitor, and write it to the new Driver Monitoring Unit.
NOTE:
Never write the data into the vehicle other than the original vehicle that the data was read from.
- Read Control module setting information
- On [Start] screen, select [Diagnosis].
- On [Select Vehicle] screen, input the target vehicle information and select [OK].
- On [Main Menu] screen, select [Each System].
- On [Select System] screen, select [Driver Monitor], and then select [Next].
- On [Select Function] screen, select [Work Support].
- On [Work Support] screen, select [Read Control module setting information].
- According to the display screen, save and close the file.
- Write ECU setting save data
- On [Start] screen, select [Diagnosis].
- On [Select Vehicle] screen, input the target vehicle information and select [OK].
- On [Main Menu] screen, select [Each System].
- On [Select System] screen, select [Driver Monitor], and then select [Next].
- On [Select Function] screen, select [Work Support].
- On [Work Support] screen, select [Write ECU setting save data].
- Perform the operation according to the display screen.
- After the procedure is finished, it is necessary to set the Driver Monitoring System to CAN sleep status and then restart it so that the write data is properly reflected.NOTE:
- To set to CAN sleep status, turn the ignition switch to OFF, and wait for a while with all the doors and the rear gate closed.
- Turning off of the Driver Monitoring System LED can be used as a reference of CAN sleep status. After that, the write data will be reflected by activating the Driver Monitoring System function.
- CAN sleep may not occur when the access key is located near the vehicle, so keep the access key away from the vehicle while waiting.
