Power Rear Gate Control Module: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the floor mat side, floor mat center, and box sub-trunk assembly.

  3. Remove the third-row seats. Ref. to SEATS>Third Seat>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the trim panel assembly apron RH. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Rear Quarter Trim>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the power rear gate control module.
    1. Disconnect the connectors in the following (a) - (c) order.

      NOTE: When the connectors are not disconnected in the sequence, a diagnosis code (DTC) may be detected.
    2. Release the lock and hook, and remove the power rear gate control module.
