Ignition Key Lock: Disassembly

  1. Remove the immobilizer antenna assembly. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>IMMOBILIZER ANTENNA>REMOVAL .
  2. Release the claws, and pull the key warning switch downwards to remove.

  3. Remove the screws, and remove the key interlock module.

  4. Remove the key lock assembly.
    1. Insert the key into the key lock assembly, and turn the key to the ACC position.
    2. Release the lock by inserting a flat tip screwdriver from the steering lock frame hole (A).
    3. Pull the key lock assembly until the key lock assembly claws touch the steering lock frame stopper (B).

    4. Insert a flat tip screwdriver from the steering lock frame hole (C), and release the claws to pull out the key lock assembly.

  5. Release the claws and remove the ignition switch assembly.
