M/T Clutch System: Flywheel: Installation
- Tap-in a new pilot bearing using a press and an attachment of a suitable size, etc.CAUTION:
- Make sure the pilot bearing is not slanted.
- Be sure to push the outer race.
Insertion depth from the end surface of the flywheel:
0 - 0.4 mm (0 - 0.02 in)
- Temporarily install the crankshaft position sensor plate and flywheel.CAUTION:
Install with the stamped mark of the crankshaft position sensor plate facing the transmission side.
NOTE:Align the knock pin hole of the crankshaft position sensor plate to the knock pin of the crankshaft to secure the knock pin.
- Using the ST, fasten the flywheel.NOTE:
Use bolts with M8 x P1.25 and a bolt length of approx. 15 mm for securing ST and the flywheel.
Preparation tool:
ST: CRANKSHAFT STOPPER (498497100)
- Tighten the bolts which fasten the flywheel.
- Tighten the bolts which fasten the flywheel in the numerical order shown in the figure.
Tightening torque:
30 N.m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.1 ft-lb)
- Using an angle gauge, tighten the bolts which fasten the flywheel in the numerical order shown in the figure.
Tightening angle:
30° - 35°
- Tighten the bolts which fasten the flywheel in the numerical order shown in the figure.
- Remove ST (CRANKSHAFT STOPPER).
- Install the clutch disc and clutch cover. Ref. to CLUTCH SYSTEM>CLUTCH DISC AND COVER>INSTALLATION
- Install the transmission body. Ref. to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (TY75)>TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION
