Diagnostic procedure:
- Execute the inspection mode H.CAUTION: After executing the inspection mode H, do not turn off the ignition switch until the stall test is finished.
- Shift the select lever to "P" range.
- Perform the stall test. Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>STALL TEST>INSPECTION
.CAUTION:
- Do not perform the stall test for five seconds or more at a time.
Failure to follow this instruction may accelerate the engine oil and ATF deterioration and affect the engine and transmission adversely.
- If the stall speed is higher than the specified range, attempt to finish the stall test in as short a time as possible, in order to prevent the transmission from sustaining damage.
- Be sure to cool down the engine for at least one minute after each stall test with the select lever set in the "P" or "N" range and with the idling speed of 1, 200 rpm or less.
- Do not perform the stall test for five seconds or more at a time.
- Check the readiness code of [Transmission] using Subaru Select Monitor and confirm that the diagnosis is completed. Ref. to TRANSMISSION (DIAGNOSTICS)>ALL READINESS DIAGNOSTIC CODE(S) .
