AT model

  1. Get into the vehicle while carrying the access key, with the vehicle in P range and the brake pedal OFF, and check that it cycles through ACC → ignition switch ON → ignition switch OFF every time the push button ignition switch is pressed, and that the combination meter display switches as follows.
    • Ignition switch OFF: No display
    • ACC ON: Accessory
    • Ignition switch ON: Ignition ON
  2. Get into the vehicle while carrying the access key, with the vehicle in "P range" and the brake pedal ON, check that the message "When starting the engine, press the push button ignition switch while depressing the brake pedal" is displayed on the combination meter display.
  3. Get into the vehicle while carrying the access key, with the vehicle in "P range" and the brake pedal ON, check that the engine starts when you press the push button ignition switch.
  4. With the vehicle stopped, the engine running and in "P range", check that the engine stops when you press the push button ignition switch.
  5. With the vehicle stopped, the engine running and in "N range", check that the engine stops when you press the push button ignition switch, and it cycles through ACC → ignition switch ON each time you press the push button ignition switch.
